Are there non infectious infections ?

an example of a non infectious infection is the normal bacteria found in the gi tract. those bacteria thrive in the gi tract, yet cause no ill effects on the gi tract(theyre nessecary). food poising is an infection(caused by contaminated food) but not infectious(if we both ate clams and they made you sick, i would not get sick from being around you, only by eating more bad clams) an example of foodborne illness that is both an infection and infectious is typhus, another shigella
