Is it worth it to sue for Libel in this situation?

Someone has been sending my friends emails about me, telling my friends that I am a deadbeat, and that I am several expletives, I have saved copies of the emails, and also witnesses, I am currently initiating a paternity petition against her daughter so I can see my son. what chances would I have at possibly proceeding with a prosecution?
