It this normal for a Tranmission to be doing this?

Is normal for the tranmission to do this? My tranmission shift fine . The only problem that I see is when I losing speed like coming to a stop like the 2 gear and 1 gear the RMP go high not that much! This normal? Sometime You can feel the 2 gear shifting down a little hard not always, When I hit the brake hard you dont feel nothing when the tranmission is shiffting down not even the RMP does"nt go up!! The car is a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 with 105k miles Never had a flush done before on the ! It this normal?
