Looking for the name of an old computer game from the 90's?

I'm trying to remember the name of an old computer game I used to play in the 90's. It was along the same lines of a ''civilization'' type of game, except the characters looked like little barbarians running around, and you would go from town to town killing everybody, and then you would set up your own town and you would ign your miners to go work the mine, and ign other characters various jobs around your town, any guesses? thanks.
