Pet Burial or Pet Cremation- which do you prefer and why?

I prefer to cremate my larger animals just as you do, but I bury their ashes in my yard with a small marker with their name to indicate where they are. It is too difficult and unwiedly to bury very large animals (we have very hard soils) and I always fear that another animal or a future homeowner may dig them up.
